The Parent Forum holds meetings in school every half term and aims to be an opportunity for parents to meet each other, share information and discuss issues affecting their children or their lives around school. The Parent Forum have also organised events in school – including the Summer fete and the Christmas time visit of Santa Claus!
The next Parent Forum meeting will be on October 3rd at 2.15pm until 3.15pm.
This meeting will be a workshop for parents on Personal Development Plans. Parents will be able to get information on the new personal development tracker that the school will now be using to track students’ development in six key areas; social communication, social interaction, sensory processing, emotional understanding, independence and organisation, and self care and keeping safe. This tracker will link directly to targets identified in pupils’ Education Health Care Plans. The information will then be used to generate a Personal Development Plan and this will replace the previous Individual Education Plan.
Please contact the school office if you would like to attend this meeting.
We will shortly be looking to recruit volunteers to support with the Christmas event at the end of the year. Last year’s visit from Santa Claus was a great success and we hope to be able to recreate that this year!
The last Parent Forum event was the summer fete where fun was had by all – even the teachers who had wet sponges thrown at them!
