Autumn term

  • Monday 5th September – Staff training day
  • Tuesday 6 September–Friday 21 October (34 days)
  • Half term: Monday 24 October–Friday 28 October
  • Monday 31 October–Wednesday 21 December (38 days)

Spring term

  • Tuesday 3 January – Staff training day
  • Wednesday 4 January–Friday 10 February (28 days)
  • Half term: Monday 13 February–Friday 17 February
  • Monday 20 February–Thursday 30 March (29 days)
  • Friday 31 March – Staff training day

Summer term

  • Tuesday 18 April–Friday 26 May (28 days) (May Day will be taken on 1 May)
  • Half term: Monday 29 May–Friday 2 June
  • Monday 5 June–Friday 21 July (35 days)

Total: 195

In 2016/17 children should attend for 190 days (or 380 half sessions).  Teachers must be available to work for 195 days during the academic year.

There are two additional staff training days to be confirmed

  • Half term: Monday 28 May–Friday 1 June
  • Monday 4 June–Friday 20 July (35 days)
